this is chubby bunny, drunk, with piping hot donut holes. i think the count was seven. i know they got on my shoes

that dude doesn’t actually sing in the band, he just stepped up for the last song. the real singer had stepped off and stormed through the crowd. just thought that should be clarified, since i didnt have to take a picture of the actual singer

These are samples from my new, old, found camera. I’m just going to say that it’s crazy when you own so many things that something you were thinking about buying happens to pop out of the pile of THINGS and presents itself all over again. It’s a VIVITAR PS:10 Focus Free. Good things people, good things.

IF life went according to the plan there would have been many great outside lands shots worth scrolling down for. You know the cool ones where everybody is really excited but they aren’t quite sure where they are? Or the ones where every one is two degrees dirtier (like actual earth) than an american apparel business model. OR the ones with lots of multicolored beams caught in mid motion with a little tiny thom yorke somewhere in the center where the stage should be? Too bad for you the lady at the patdown made Dawn take my camera out of her jacket. Forcing me to stash my only working camera in some bush for four hours, hoping a bum hadnt watched me stash it. The irony of it all was that everyone who stood in those ridiculous lines at the APPLE store a month ago to buy an iphone got to take as many photos as they damn well pleased. Whatever. That’s Jenny, Dawn and Chad. We still rocked and rolled the night

Someone once told me the blogging was just for narcissistic semi-wealthies with a camera and a blabbing tongue. Well thats true. Here’s proof. This is what I see in my neighborhood everyday. And this the Tenderknob in the sun.

Standing reservation at Quince every Sunday at 5.30. Old, San Francisco, American, Money.

Latina TERRORISTA blowing up on the corner of Hyde and O’Farrell.

“What kind of salsa?”

Dude riding bike.

Last week I discovered this lady’s name in Janette. She grew up in Little Rock and has lived in Tenderknob for the last eight years. Her voice scratches with the grind of 25 grain electric sander. Every second I was talking to her I thought part of her throat was going to pop out her mouth.

ALL THROW UPS, ALL UP-AND-COMERS, ALL NEIGHBORHOOD

Thats my pad with the open window. Two more weeks left then I’m on my way to LA

about a month ago I copped this yashica gsn off ebay for twenty bucks. pretty hipster, almost trendy, but a 1973 japanese made electronic, range finder. how can you pass that up? Of course it didnt work. So i took it in to David down at Camera Heaven on Larkin and he fixed it up. He spent a month on it, fixed everything, and cleaned it all for 75 dollares. I’m back on the street and here some shots from the first roll. check out the colors…

And I think I’m like three weeks too late on calling this one but, MAD MEN is going to have a huge effect on fashion and advertising this year. Plus its damn good TV, or internet TV if youre cooler than those things they call Television. Recap: MAD MEN is going to be everywhere. Case and point this dudes haircut and that red, white, grey and black graphics ohso similar to that on-point opening credits of the show. More to come, I’m sure.

I’ve finished painting all of the canvas that I have on hand. Not having to paint has given me a bit of time to try something different, so for the last week it’s been these quick marker sketches that I’ve been doing. Mostly I’m trying to play around with my style, see where it can be taken. Simplification and style points are two intriguing ideas to me right now and thats what i tried to push in these.

Check out the rest of them on flickr. Click here.
